Obama’s tenure as  president expires at the White House from today.  From a humble African descent, it’s not surprising that Obama has been tagged  by many as a man of his words , humble, caring,  peace loving , responsible and what have you .

 To the Americans, he was a definition of statemanship , a patriotic citizen, loyalist and above all, a unifying political figure. If these words are not enough to label him, the following 21 hilarious pictures summarizes his personality in totality.  let’s take  a snappy look at some of his memorable moments in office.

OBJECT IN THE MIRROR

Mirror mirror…You are the one I see and I’m the one you see anytime I look at you.  When I’m before you, the world is behind me.  You never gave me a second to explain why, just because you are ever ready to retaliate any time I go off the line.
My smiles may get me going , but I go faster anytime you reflect them back to me.
I taught of frowning , and there you pause laughing. As I keep some distance, then I saw you departing. With you, my flaws and shortcomings never go unnoticed. You keep record of every step I take. But I commend you for one thing, in my absence , you never reveal  my personality to the world- oh jealousy!

Time is running out-Yes I know ! , but let’s maintain the distance at par. In alacrity, we await the bound of affection so unrelenting and indelible. I am certain that you will never go beyond how far I would go. As I bend , I see you bending too. But I’m happy we remain unbroken.

There is an opportunity in this adversity. That’s the moment you shown me reality. In times of  sorrow, rejection and dejection, I help by  installing unquantifiable infectious smiles on your face.

Before I could say Jack, you have become an expert in explaining the law of Karma-you made me your carbon copy.
A child figuring how you do so may desire to touch and have a feel of you by trying to going behind the mirror just to see a thin air. I also thought I’ve been deceived a million times because at a point , I did same. As I grow , I remembered what Mum said , ”

Piesie , what you are seeing in there is your reflection and nothing else.

” Thence I remembered what’s inscribed in the driving mirror “objects in the mirror are closer than they appear.” 

​A new year to perpetuate good course.

We have successfully been ushered into  what  I May say a much awaited year by many people.
surely, the one true God who began the  year 2016 with us has kept his promise by bringing us this far. Yes indeed ! He is the Alpha and de omega God .

No doubts there  were challenging moments during  the previous year , our lives were spared and that alone is a cause for celebration.

May the  year 2017 pave way for divine  upliftments and fulfilment of destinies.
2017 shouldn’t be seen only as a year marking a new beginning  but rather a change of date that is very imperative as the year makes progress.  Such a change shouldn’t militate against  our options for success because the inanimate ‘thing’ such as the year is even making progress.

A new year has been activated and so is our ability to explore. Past Glories are but few of our achievements . We should press on till we are given the crown of victory as Apostle Paul rightly said.

Let’s think more positive and less negative for ourselves and others this time around.

The Distance That Matters

As humans , we mostly find it difficult to distant ourselves from the people we love , cherish and care about. Simply because we are emotionally or psychologically attached to the physical or implied presence of such people. But is that always the case that such people will return the affection and the feeling we have for them?

At times keeping a distance from those that we have at heart could be the solution to our woes. My biblical interactions has taught me a lot.  Moses had an extraordinary encounter with God and was given the powerful constitution of the Christian fraternity the very time he distanced himself from the Israelites on mount Sinai.

Also , our lord and Saviour Jesus Christ saw the face of earlier prophets when he distanced himself from his disciples to Pray alone. These are but few of biblical references to the essence of a temporary breakdown in relationship.  Some times you just have to distant yourself from things you loved most so as to analyse things from other perspectives.

Ramayana once said “Blow ‘o wind to where my loved one is. Touch him and come touch me soon. I’ll feel his gentle touch through you and meet his beauty in the moon. These things are much for the one who loves. One can live by them alone: that he and I breathe the same air and that the earth we tread is one.”

Distance provides us the right opportunity to reflect on why a relationship broke up and also right our wrongs. Broken covenants are rejuvenated when lessons are learnt from breakups.

WhatsApp new terms and conditions

It came as a surprise to many users of the instant messaging app whatsapp when it released an update with a feature that makes it possible for users to share their whatsapp information on Facebook. Whatsapp was sold to the social media titan-Facebook in 2014 for 19 billion dollars and has since then seen dramatic updates including the end-to-end encryption, whatsapp calls among other features and its users can attest to that.

The introduction of the ‘data sharing’ feature in the current version has created a controversy as most users do not buy into the idea of sharing their information on Facebook.

With theses features not withstanding, you can still enjoy your privacy and the thrills of whatsapp because, with this update, your encrypted messages continue to stay private and no one else can read them-not even Facebook or whatsapp.

According to whatsapp, their partnership with Facebook will ensure that the basic metrics about how often people use their services could be tracked and better fight spam on whatsapp. It is also a move to get businesses and companies connected to their clients through ads.

Whatsapp however assures its cherished users that,they (whatsApp) won’t post or share their whatsapp numbers with others and won’t sell, share or give their whatsApp numbers to advertisers.They still believe in the value of private communication and are committed to giving you the fastest, simple and reliable experience on their service.

If the above seems not too convincing and you probably wish to opt out of the data sharing option,these steps can be followed. To continue using WhatsApp, you need to Read and Agree to the new terms and
conditions. Interestingly, this is where most people fall prey because those terms and conditions are usually lengthy and laborious.

Don’t worry if reading is such a herculean task for you like me..lol. Follow these simple guidelines and opt
out of data sharing.

1.WhatsApp is sending out messages to its
users about its new terms.

2.Don’t click Agree right away,scroll down to the bottom
and uncheck the part that says ‘you have
agreed to data sharing’.

As simple as that!

If you have already agreed without going through the above process, there is another way out.

1.Open WhatsApp and go to Settings.

2.Then to Account

3.Uncheck Share my account info.

YOU CAN HI ME ON YOUR NEWLY UPDATED WHATSAPP…LOL Be updated; that’s what’s up.
